Dave is going to Brazil!

Dave is so excited! He just got confirmed to go work in Brazil on a Steam Generator. I don't know what all he will do, but this is a huge opportunity for his career. He will leave the end of January and will be done in May. He will be living in a gated community right on the beach 45 minutes away from anything. They provide his housing and meals while at work. We could go with him, i just don't know for sure what to do yet. I want him to go first and see what the situation is before we bring the kids. Besides, i have to get them passports and that will take a little while. Anyway, just wanted to update ya. He is so thrilled, so i am stoked for him.

The Gals at Twilight...

Ok, so i am a part of this phenomenon that has wiped the nation called "Twilight". A bunch of gals and I all went out to the 8 o'clock showing of the movie and we waited in line for about an hour to get into the theater. Now, some of the girls in the group are major die hard Twilight Junkies, reading the books several times each. I only have read the first two books, still working on the third. I really enjoyed the movie. Some of my friends not as much as me, but it was a party to all go together. Some of us very low-budgetly made our own shirts to celebrate the occasion and yes, we were the loud ones in line laughing and taking pictures. We went to Perkins afterwards and partied and it was a great Girls Night all together. Thanks Ladies for the Fun!

Cory's Patriotic Program

Cory performed tonight with his school (White Pine Charter School) and they did a Patriotic program. Cory's class sang "America The Beautiful" and Cory had every word memorized. The past 3 years i have done the choir at the school, but this year with Dave being gone, i just didn't have it in me. So now they have some great ladies who have integrated a music program during the school day and so I am thrilled that the kids are still getting music experience. I did still help in writing the narration and enjoyed still being involved. Anyway, the dang fire alarm went off before they could sing the finale song, "The Star Spangled Banner" so I was sad to not get to record that cuz how many 6 year olds do you know who can sing that song in pitch, word for word? He is definetly his father's child. Cory sang two Sundays ago a solo of A Child of God for Sacrament Meeting for the Primary program. I couldn't help the tears from falling. It was beautiful and he hit every note perfectly. We sure missed Daddy being there, he would be so PROUD! I will record Cory singing the song by himself one of these days...

Laina at the Festival of Trees

Alaina loves to perform, especially because she gets to wear a little makeup and this time i got a little glitter for her to wear on her face so she was busting at the seams to get to wear it. This video is not super good of her cuz the teacher was in front of her, but it was the only spot i could squeeze in on the floor in the aisle with all the little kids wanting to see, so i tried to blend in with them. This is for Dave to see cuz he coudln't be here to watch her.

I know i am extrememly fickle...

I decided it is a pain to go private with my blog, so i will just be super careful of what info i give out. So sorry for being fickle and changing my mind. Welcome all again!

This is all I dream about doing after 2 LONG months of being a single mom...

Seriously, this is all I want to do is sleep. Alaina is pretty techno, she took these of me catching a super quick nap. She's a good little photographer!

Holy Too Many Halloween Parties Batman...

Sorry for the mass amounts of pics.. We had parties at Cory's school, Laina's preschool, Cory's hip hop dance class, Laina's dance, 2 ward trunk or treats, and of course our fave, Em's party! These posts are mostly for Dave to see since he is away and missing us. I am still trying to recoop from the sugar high my kids were on. Am I alone in the fact that i hide their candy and only let them have like 3 pieces a day? My mom did that to me when I was a kid and I swore I would let my kids eat all they wanted... Ha Ha Mom, you sure knew BEST!
